We are delighted to announce that we have recently taken delivery of an additional large-bed, Datron MLCube CNC machining centre. This significant £200K capital investment by Sylatech, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to invest in new and advanced machining technology.
Designed for the high-speed milling of components, this high precision CNC machine will drive our growth in the design and manufacture of large, slotted array antennas and other large, machined components, which are beyond the capability of our existing Fanuc Robodrill, CNC machines.
This Datron MLCube doubles our large-bed machining capacity, and better equips us to meet the demands of our customers.
Technical specifications:
- Traverse Path (X/Y/Z) – 1,520mm x 1,150mm x 245mm
- Machining spindle – 0.6 kW to 4.0kW high-frequency spindles; up to 60,000 rpm
- Tool changer – Automatic tool changer housing 36 tools
Following a successful installation, the machine was immediately set to work on machining flat-plate, slotted antenna array panels for our customers. It is already positively impacting our productivity.
