Purpose of the role
In this role, you will inspect precision-machined parts in a machine-shop environment, using a range of metrology equipment and interpreting technical drawings. You will identify quality issues, recommend practical solutions and work with Engineering and other departments to improve quality, safety and production performance.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect precision-machined parts.
- Use a wide range of metrology equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Identify quality issues, recommend solutions and contribute improvement ideas.
- Liaise with the Engineering department on quality matters and improvement opportunities.
- Work effectively with departments across the Company.
- Meet the health and safety requirements of the role.
What we are looking for
You will be quality-focused, methodical and confident working in a precision machining environment.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques used for precision-machined components.
- An in-depth understanding of technical drawings and tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- A practical approach to identifying issues and recommending solutions.
- Clear communication and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
