Production Planner

This role is based in the North Yorkshire market town of Kirkbymoorside.

Sylatech is an engineering business recognised for its casting and engineering excellence. The company are part of the Government’s initiative Sharing for Growth training scheme, providing learning and development opportunities for all staff.

This is a key role within Planning team, responsible for creating and maintaining realistic and achievable production plans across multiple manufacturing areas. The successful candidate will help ensure customer delivery commitments are achieved while balancing capacity, materials, and operational constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules
  • Create works orders / batches using the company’s planning systems
  • Monitor progress against plan and adjust schedules where required
  • Identify risks to delivery and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Communicate clear production priorities to shop floor teams and stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement within the planning process
