Purpose of the role
In this hands-on role, you will assemble and inspect microwave components and larger antenna assemblies. Working from engineering drawings, you will prepare components for specialist processes, carry out testing and complete production documentation while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Use vernier callipers and other measuring equipment.
- Prepare components for dip brazing and other chemical processes.
- Carry out leak testing using the equipment provided.
- Visually inspect parts and report or correct any errors.
- Carry out general assembly work, including large antenna assemblies.
- Maintain high standards of production output and component quality.
- Follow Company safety systems and working procedures.
- Complete relevant documentation to the required standard.

- Attention to detail when checking and maintaining quality requirements.
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines.
- Care of tools and equipment, with good housekeeping habits and respect for shared workspaces.
- Accurate completion of relevant documentation and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
