Due to continued expansion, we are now looking for a new member to join our hardworking and skilled team.

Purpose of the Apprentice Role:

To acquire the skills, knowledge and competence to work within a Machine Shop / Tool Room environment to operate at a qualified operator level to carry out a range of tasks to include:

  • Basic machine operation, manual and CNC, lathes, milling, drilling, tapping and grinding
  • Manual fitting skills
  • Remove, repair, replace and/or test components in an engineering environment
  • Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of machine
  • Basic inspection of equipment
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings.

Duration of Apprenticeship: 

Typically, the duration of this apprenticeship is 48 months, combining off site training on a weekly basis with ‘on the job’ training within the workplace.
